Not a Vinnie fan, but the 'big characters' in Big Brother are generally the bitchy ones. BB4 was the the most civilised house we ever had in Big Brother, but it was also the most boring. Big Brother always needs a villain.

Didn't he once accidentally sneer his face off?

A couple of things puzzle me. On is why Vinnie is still odds-on favourite to win and, secondly, do people really know what sort of person he is?

Here are a few snippets from his life of violence (taken from the web):

Quote:
During his playing days, he was renowned for his "hard man" image, an aspect of his play that was frequently the target of criticism. He was sent off 12 times in his career, as well as holding the record for the quickest ever booking in a football match, being booked after just three seconds for a foul

He was convicted of assaulting a neighbour in 1998

In December 2003, Jones was convicted of air rage offenses committed on a flight the previous May

In December 2008 he was treated for injuries and arrested after a bar fight

I'm not sure I understand the difference in the case of Big Brother. Grace, Charley, Alexandra, Rex and Bea all pretty much acted like real life jerks. If anything, Vinnie has simply been playing the game in a more rudimentary fashion. It's nothing like Grace who bitched and bullied her way to week 4 until Suzie got carte blanche on nominations, Carole who used cunning, aggressive methods of emotional manipulation to make sure the other housemates nominated loyally or Jen, Dennis, Rebecca, et al who made Mo's life in the house a misery for a good couple of weeks.

Vinnie has a long and sordid history of physical violence.

Now that he is older and out of shape (Alex could floor him in a second), Vinnie resorts to more subtle forms of violence.
