And We do not.
Seriously is stupid how the UK doesnt use the Euro.

REP of Ireland does when I go down there its weird using it, but obviously because im in NI I have to use the stupid Pound.

Tbf it is easier, and I would be confussed if we switched to Euro as I have grown up using the Pound but I would rather the UK just used the Euro like everyone else.

Anglo-Saxon
Main article: Anglo-Saxon pound

The origins of sterling lie in the reign of King Offa of Mercia, who introduced the silver penny. It copied the denarius of the new currency system of Charlemagne's Frankish Empire. As in the Carolingian system, 240 pennies weighed 1 pound (corresponding to Charlemagne's libra), with the shilling corresponding to Charlemagne's solidus and equal to 12d. At the time of the penny's introduction, it weighed 22.5 troy grains of fine silver (30 tower grains; about 1.5 g, indicating that the Mercian pound weighed 5,400 troy grains (the Mercian pound became the basis of the tower pound, which weighed 5,400 troy grains, equivalent to 7,200 tower grains). At this time, the name sterling had yet to be acquired. The penny swiftly spread throughout the other Anglo-Saxon kingdoms and became the standard coin of what was to become England.

I just hate the design lol

I like how it works, its very easy to use and that, The only 2 reasons I think it could change is because I hate the look of it, but thats not the big deal but just because every other country in Europe uses Euro so I was thinking its a little odd we use the Pound you know?

Read my latest post in this thread. UK isn't the only country not using €uro.

The Pound Ain't Stupid.

Your €uro will have to fund Bankrupt Greece
who are in your Europe.

Greece is another problem which has been complicated to solve and still is being solved today.
As for Eastern European countries, I'm not especially for them to enter the Europe but what's done is done and it has been the policy of the European Government. Eastern countries don't necessarily take Europe down because they've been helping in a few things such as production and new markets to explore even though it's the rule of "Whoever is richer pays for the poorest" which has taken the lead.
And to be honest, UK has been more of a disaster than Poland and Czech Republic combined which both countries have done quite well. UK and Spain are Europe's biggest disasters due to the Economic crisis.
