Oh, and honestly, if you decide to play 4-4-2 again I wouldn't play Lampard or Gerrard. Not alone are they not designed to play in those positions, but they also can't play together. Carrick and Barry - even though I'm not keen on either but they know how to play that system. Why wasn't Parker selected? Mental.

If you go 4-5-1 it's either Lampard or Gerrard. Don't think you can play both in either formation.

Can't play Gerrard and Lampard on the same team. That midfield is leggy. You'd need Milner to play out of his skin.

You can play them together, just not together within the team, Gerrard as a forward, Lampard as a creative midfielder, so they don't clash

But Barry is leggy. And I don't rate him. Gerrard and Lampard play the same role for their clubs and never know where their responsibilities lie when they play for their country. Honestly, I think one of them should be dropped. That's the ballsy play.
