Old thread - but this is just part of the standard set of the 'Squares' idents from 1999-2002. In 2002 they were refreshed with a more 3D effect and then on New Year's Eve 2004 they were replaced with what we have now. Previously in 1996 we had the 'Circle' idents, and before that of course, the 'Blocks' idents.

Channel 4 and Big Brother shared the same font. The font used on trailers then was also used for Big Brother, and the font used from 2004 for Channel 4 was also used for BB7-10.
