I have sucked my thumb form over 50 years now, I can assure you that it is not a deep seated emotional or any other physiological disorder. It is a habit. It does not stop you having a nomal life, emotional or otherwise. This I say as a happily married woman that has been with the same man for 33 years.:hugesmile

I agree with your point on her seeming to lack social awareness. Once I was in my teens I learned to only be a thumbsucker in private. I could never sit in a pub etc sucking my thumb never mind on the telly.

Fair enough - I appreciate your honesty!

She quite openly does it on public tv, in front of the guy she proports to fancy the pants off, who himself seems rather hesitant to say the least - yet has no reservations about it at all!

Either an extreme case of a lack of social awareness - or an act for sympathy!

Either way - find her very unlikeable!

As a thumbsucker of note myself, I cringe when I see her.
