17, but thats not really the point. By that you're implying that when you're a teenager and immature and everything it's acceptable, but as soon as you go past 20 you're suddenly so sensitive that you arent able to handle some friendly banter and it suddenly becomes insulting?

anyway, just for the record, I am far far behind my 20sThe difference about a friendly bunter is, that the other person is not meant to get willingly upset. What Dave and the others did was far behind a friendly banter.

Like Chels said, there didnt seem to be a problem when Sam was telling Josie it should be illegal for her to be a bikini. You're just ranting about Dave doing it because you find it too hard to believe that a middle-aged man could jokingly taken the mick without it being malicious |

(Also english is not my mother language, so sometimes not everything may come across like it was meant when I wrote it) I am pretty sure, that there was also a discussion about Sam being very (let's say) unkind to Josie, but I can't say how it was discussed, because I was not involved. To get back to the point. For me it has nothing to do with the age of dave, the situation would have had the same meaning if 3 40 year old would do that 50 year old guy. It is just not a friendly banter any more if you do such thing over and over again, always to the same person, knowing that person gets upset. And the problem with Daves "I love you moley" excuse is, that he never really meant them to be an excuse. If so, he would have at last once said. I have gone to far, I am sorry that I have upset you, I will not do it again... But he just said "I love you" turned around just to bitch again about him to someone else. THAT is no friendship.

Anyway, back to the incident at hand, I genuinely dont think Dave intended to hurt Mario. Dave seems clearly to have quite a dry sense of humour and, in my opinion, this is often misunderstood as him being a snake, backstabbing etc. Take his friendship with Ben, a lot of people here criticised Dave saying that he's been insulting Ben and calling him every name under the sun and then pretended to be is best mate when he came back. Yet Dave mentioned a couple of times that "Benny" was his best mate in the house and that he would have left if Ben had been evicted week 2. Any insulting of him has seemed to me to be more affectionate than malicious. The same could be said here. At the beggining when there was clearly different groups in the house, Dave was always with Mario, Sunshine and Ben. And I've yet to see Dave really criticise Mario, aside from when he was put on the Save & Replace task. Him going out in the garden and telling him he loves him was kind of his way of saying "I was only messing about, no need to be offended" Anyway, I'm off to bed now, I'm completely shattered
