A Madonna theme is better then a Gaga theme would be... As far as artist themes go it isn't bad, she's had a long and broad career so there's quite a variety in song choice.

If it weren't for Madonna you wouldn't even have Lady Gaga.

We wouldn't, Lady Gaga is pretty much a dance based Madonna lite who makes up for it with silly clothes.

Gaga is also awesome at playing the piano not sure if Madonna is, why the need for stupid comparisions some have?, they're both great at what they do end of.

Lady Gaga is decent, not great. Tell me she's great in 20 years if she's still on the top of her game then. Longevity is what matters in the music business, it''s easy to put out one best selling album but it takes skill and talent to keep it up and stay relevent with the times. Everyone treats Lady Gaga like she's the second coming, she's had one album. Let's see if she can make it to her third before we start kissing her feet.

When it comes down to it if you look at both artists rise to fame Gaga's pretty much emulated Madonna's. Madonna used shock tactics to get people to pay attention and so does Gaga. Only that with Gaga it's a lot more shallow since it's all about her fashion. That's why I'm saying you wouldn't have Gaga without Madonna as Gaga's pretty much been reading from the Madonna Playbook sicne she's started out.

Well no-one knows how long Gaga will be around for but I think she has longevity in her.. as long as she has her support and fanbase that remains consistent.

No, GaGa's biggest inspirations have been Bowie and Grace jones, people just make comparisons because they can't accept she has talent.

They make the comparisions because they are extremely valid. Look at how Madonna rose to fame and then look at Lady Gaga, the only difference is that Gaga's used a lot of Madonna's phases in a short amount of time. She might base herm usic on other artists but she's definitely got Madonna to thank for how she's went about her career.

If we're gonna talk about her music, it's hardly revolutionary. Take away her image and constant manipulation of vulnerable gay people then you've got a GOOD but ordinary popstar. Her music is extremely deriative of the artists that have gone before. It's her media image that's got her where she is.

Which is something Madonna did years before, she courted controversy and the Media but also managed to keep up with the times and stay relevant. That's why I'm saying Gaga owes her career to Madonna since she forged the career path Gaga's walking down now.

Lady Gaga is her own person like Madonna is, she might have been influenced by Madonna but surely Madonna will have been influenced by someone famous when she came to attention?. Both are successful artists in their own right and of course Gaga is a long way from matching Madonna's success but she's done amazing in just a couple of years.
