Default Matt will not be successful

Ive read comments on here saying he's gonna be HUGE! and its like ...are you kidding? None of this years contestants are gonna be that successful anyway, a few might release a couple of songs but never will they be as big as Leona or Alexandra!

Remember s4 with Leon? LOL he was a joke and a half. Even Joe from last year is less successful than Olly and now Stacey aswell.

But we'll see

Matt won't be but I can see Cher, OD and Rebecca achieving success.

I agree... good voice but I don't think whoever he works with will successfully find a way to channel it into popular music.

Cher and One direction will have chart success. Rebecca has the potential to make a classy easy listening album that could sell loads.

Matt is the one who I can see flopping. He's a bit like Steve Brookstein and probably has the same kinda fans that he had. Fans that never bought his records! He doesn't have a great personality to keep fans interested either.

If Matt can write one huge hit - a la James Blunt - then he might have longevity but I dont see it.

Cherr will be quite successful but never credible and OD will have disbanded in less than 1 year and a half

I haven't seen these comments saying he is gonna be 'HUGE!'.

What a few people have been saying is that Matt is one of the most outstanding skillful talents on any X-Factor and most definitely can go onto a successful career.
Full-time, in the music industry, making profits and maybe more importantly he has all it takes to have a real 'career'. Not only cashing in on the X-Factor season,
but,
go on to work year after year building a lifetime of music.

I think it might have been Prezzie or another member suggested he will put out 'generic' music.
Yes, I see what you are saying and that will be something he is going to have to get around.

But here is the difference for Matt:
Any top 'label' in the UK will have NO hesitation investing the time and money into Matt.
This means hiring the best songwriters and the best image consultants to make sure there is a 'unique Matt'.
Matt has that 'luxury' available to him after this.

But no, Matt will not be 'HUGE!'.
He will not pump out a big sensation 'super hit' cashing in on the X-Factor.
He doesn't have to.
He can take the time to invest in a long-term substantial career.

Yes, I have worked in the music industry (front and back) and 'no' I am not claiming the be-all-end-all in picking talent,
but,
Matt is a 'no-brainer'. Anyone who has spend any sort of time in the music industry can see this.
It was obvious from the very first episodes and even more obvious that Matt didn't just somehow 'stumble upon' X-Factor.
It was one of the options he could choose.

Cher will be.

Cher has a whole future ahead of her because of her fans being pretty much the same age as her and she's got alot of people talking.

Matt, One Erection and Rebecca will not go anywhere.

Wand Erection will release a song or two but it'll flop.

Leona isn't that big anymore either for cryin' out loud.
