you've answered your own question, its not ideal is it. So is it right to put the child in the situation unnecessarily

Why is it unnecessersary? Davids in his 40's. Theres absolutely no problem. People drop dead in their 20's. FFS just be happy in life. That kids going to have the world

each to their own obviously, im not totally closed off to the idea im just not sure its whats best for a child. Obviously its miles better than neglect and a dysfuctional family but compared to a mum and dad i dont think it is an equivalent option.
