Because if the average viewer had an ounce of intelligence as to know it is him behind this storyline they all hate so much, rather than the actors, then they would want his head on a stick.

He's just lucky though that most of them run to 'The BBC Action Line' that they show at the end of the show, as oppose to death threats sent to him like Samantha Womack got yesterday.
