The only difference is, Madonna doesn't think she's ripping her off, other wise she'd have filed a lawsuit.

No, Madonna has been leeched off millions of times by numerous female popstars over the past 25 years.

she just doesn't care and isnt a greedy bitch like Lady Gag-me-with-a-silver-spoon.

Sort of agree with this, but even if Madonna was pissed off, what can she do? You can hardly prove she's ripping her off, she can just argue back that she was inspired by Madonna, and that's all there is to say really. It's just about impossible to be original in the true sense of the word, rather, artists nowadays can just be different to their peers.

How dare they. It took GaGa hundreds of grams of Cocaine and thousands of dollars to perfect her genius character of being an above average pop singer dressed crazy.

You keep believing that

The fact of the matter is, the only reason Madonna fans are getting pissed is because she's pretty irrelevant in the pop world today. No doubt she's been inspirational but that was in the past, people just can't accept someone could take over as the biggest female popstar in the world.

personally Im way past caring about Madonnas chart positions. She's proved herself(and her durability) ten times over already. No artist can stay at the very top forever...thats just an absolute fact. I just enjoy her phenomenal back catalogue of hits.

at her age and with children Im sure Madonna doesnt stress too much about it either these days. She has other priorities and less ambition.

Gaga has 25 years to go before she has been making music as long as Madonna. Do you seriously think Gaga will be relevant in 2036? Probably not even 2016 at the rates she's plummeting in credibility right now.

and she can only wish her flat ass looks this good in 25 years time..

Well I don't think Smithy is talking about chart positions. He's pointed out that Madonna has begun to fade out of the musical spotlight. Sure she'll keep making music but imo she reached her peak long ago. If Hard Candy is anything to go by then it shows that Madge is only gonna go further downhill.

And yes I believe Gaga will be relevant in 30 years time. She was the first person to get a billion views on YouTube and she is or is one of the most downloaded artists of all time - so that alone will keep her remembered.

Also BTW is going to be some of her best work ever. With songs like Edge of Glory (a massive power ballad with club beats) and Hair (a RedOne produced inspirational song) not to mention a host of other songs, I think she's gonna be here for a long while.

Btw, I enjoy Madonna's work as well if you're thinking I'm a hater.

In 2008 when Hard Candy was released she was going through a bad time with her divorce so her heart wasn't full on with her album.

I can imagine if YouTube and Music Downloads were avalible in the 80's Madonna would have the same amount as Gaga has now - That is just a cultral achivement that is due to media over time.

Lady Gaga DOES NOT need dance tracks for her next album, In Madonna's few years of stardom she released songs in Pop, Dance , Rock (Burnin' Up, Gambler) stand alone ballads (Crazy For You) which I have let so see Gaga try. Power ballads are just 'current' and are the SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING. Working with RedOne is no different to any other artist at the moment - NOT UNIQUE AT ALL!
