SDN Invites Proposals for New Digital Television Services

http://www.itvplc.com/media/newsrelease/?id=43313

Quote:
UK Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) multiplex operator SDN Limited is inviting proposals for Digital Television Services to be broadcast on Multiplex A. The capacity for broadcasting these services will be available from July 2011 on a nationwide basis.
SDN, a subsidiary of ITV Plc, is the licence holder for Multiplex A, one of the six multiplexes which make up the UK’s largest broadcast platform, DTT, which is principally used by Freeview.
Interested parties should contact Chris Evans at Chris.Evans1@itv.com for a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The deadline for responding to the RFP is 21 April 2011.

ch30 5* has reduced there hours to 1pm-12am everyday.
The replacement for the lost hours is gems tv which is broadcasting 9am-1pm

This means Gems TV on Freeview at this time:-
01:00 - 11:00 LCN 43
09:00 - 13:00 LCN 30
18:00 - 03:00 LCN 32

So therefore we have spare time not to watch Gems TV continuously between 13:00 to 18:00

Might get replaced by Big Brother streaming come the summer.
