Yes but its far easier for a persons ego to go to the doctor and get you appendix out than having the courage for a young teenager to get their knob out in front of a doctor or tell their parents they have a problem down there.
But I don't see why this is even a debate. Some people get it some people don't. Its not like it scars the baby emotionally so I don't see the problem. And not having it is fine as well. Its just a parental choice.
