I already contributed my answer. Not everyone who thinks you are pushing it a bit is trying to get attention. I suppose playing Christian apologetics for a year or two and then switching to rampant nihlism has nothing to do with playing 'look at me'?

We create the meaning in our lives. We empathise with humans more than any other animal and rightly so. I could sit here all day providing biological/evolutionary/neurological reasons why that is the case. I could discuss it in poetic or scientific terms.

Valuing human life more than the lives of other species is not the massive leap of faith or arrogant stance of assumption you're making it out to be.
