Both Jay and Louise agreed with him there not to spend any money, they should have told him when they decided to spend their money to avoid him feeling guilty or embarresed when they appeared with expensive gifts and he had nothing.
You forget that Aaron said to them in the DR to go ahead and buy gifts if they wanted the glory, but that he was out. That was a very cynical thing to say and after that Jay and Lou had no obligation to tell him anything.

Further...Aaron saw Jay and Lou go into the DR and he knew full well they had decided to buy the gifts because when they came out he shook his head and said 'silly people' under his breath.
If he was concerned about being embarrassed or felt guilty he could easily have approached them and decided to contribute his share or bought a gift of his own. But he decided not to - instead he twisted things to his own advantage to get camera time, sulk, and play the poor hard done by victim (again!)

this is ridiculous.
If aaron did it and jay and louise moaned all night about it and ruining tom and alexs birthday, people would be saying opposite.

People have to admit when their favourite is wrong really

He actually gives them the go ahead and makes it extremely clear he doesn't want to get involved.

I have no idea why Aaronites are making out that it was then somehow sneaky of Jay and Lou to do exactly what he told them to do.

It is all just so clear, and yet it's still twisted and rationalised by the 'faithfull'.
That was said at the offer of £1000 gifts AND Aaron was still sitting there after he said it, this would mean, if they had bought presents then and there he would definatly have known about it.

As I said above, he said that in the first visit to the diary room which was a different situation in two ways.

I wasnt talking about whether or not Aaron knew they were going into the diary room or whether he wanted to buy or contribute to a gift (which he probably wouldnt have tbh) I was talking about Jay and Louise's social obligation (there it is again) to tell him they were buying the presents.

I'm definitely on Aaron's side. I noticed that Alex and Tom had no problem accepting the gifts!

100% Aaron.

Why? because all three of them were saying no - both times that they were called into the diary room.

One stuck to his principles. The other 2 saw an opportunity to try to win votes.

The fact that they then didn't even say to Aaron, "Look mate, we've changed our minds, I know all 3 of us said both times, no, but we are going to pick something to the value of £500"..... and give him the option- but nope: the pair of them sat at the table making out as though Aaron simply didn't agree with it right off...... what both Jay and Louise failed to mention was that THEY TOO said they weren't interested in the gift purchase, not once, but both times they were all called into the diary room.

And there was me thinking that the entire concept of Big Brother comes off the back of a SOCIAL experiment.

FC - I never thought I'd see the day but I am in 100% agreement with you.

She was wetting herself to tell how much 'us two' had spent - and kept banging on about it all bloody night about £500 each.

Then was very manipulative in not mentioning that all 3 of them had said NO - not once, but twice in the diary room - and that she and Jay went behind Aaron's back to sneakily to in,having thought more about it - that it could work in their favour. Reality check Louise: it worked in Aaron's favour pet.

I'm on Aaron's side.

I think the way Jay and Louise, after discussing it in the bathroom, went straight in to speak to BB without telling Aaron was calculated and underhand.

Aaron all the way!!!!

Everything he said about the whole debarcle was spot-on.
You could just see the realization appearing (very slowly) on Jay and Louise's faces when it was sinking in that Aaron had figured them out 100%.

Louise even said to Alex when her and Tom came back from the diary room "did they say that it was really nice of us to spend £500 on presents for you and Tom Alex ?"

So bloody transparent!!!!

How anyone can take Aaron's side is beyond me. He was nothing but selfish, £500 out of £10,000 isn't much when he's lucky to have anything in the first place. What makes it worse is he's trying to twist the situation completely so he doesn't look bad.

Oh... I must have missed the bit where the housemates have actually been given this agreed £10k ... is it in their hip pockets/bank accounts yet? NOPE.

Any one of them can turn around and do what Jay and Louise did last night: ie: change their minds and not tell everyone that's involved that they have changed their mind.

They have won NO money as yet.

How can anyone not see what a lame attempt it was by Jay and Louise to garner favour from the viewing (and of course 'voting') public ?

Basically they all agreed it was ridiculous to spend £500 on them each but then, without even telling Aaron, Jay and Louise went back to the diary room and did it in a lame attempt to make themselves look like the 'lovely thoughtful couple' to the viewers and to Alex and Tom while making Aaron look like the selfish, spiteful one.............and you fell for it.

Aaron all the way

edited to add: Jay/Loo imo, deliberately excluded Aaron from their reversed decision to make him look bad. Loo couldn't wait to tell Alex & Tom that her & jay spent £500 on each of them. _ I reckon that they thought BB would keep bringing them in with offers of presents for lower & lower amounts, and couldn't risk Aaron agreeing to buying one of them

As for Jay saying "We came in with nothing, so it doesn't matter"

Funny that he didn't share the same sentiments when BB suggested gifts in the £1000 bracket eh!!

Suddenly he wasn't so assured of his "We came in with nothing, so it doesn't matter", train of thought when it was a grand they were asked to cough up.

What a two faced lying git he is - amongst all other things.

Posted this on another thread on same subject;

Quote:
The crucial point that many who are slating Aaron appear to be missing is this:

The housemates agreed to split the money into £10k each.

Jay, Louise and Aaron all agreed not to spend money on the gifts.

Jay and Louise opted to break that agreement, to change their mind, without discussing it further with Aaron - despite them all agreeing.

Who therefore is to say that Jay and Louise will not do the same with the supposed agreement to equally share the £10k? Who is to say they wont' change their minds then.......without discussing this change of mind - despite them having agreed.

If anything - I'd say this puts them in an even worse light: that their word means nothing - and that there is every chance they will do the same regarding the agreed split on the £50k. Why? Because both of them have now shown that a mutual group agreement means nothing and that they cannot be trusted as their word being their bond.

Own goal methinks !

yup..I mis-judged Louise I think, I was a big fan for ages. It was because I felt she was a bit dull because she was shy.. now it seems to me to be the case that the minute she opens her mouth the whole world knows just how devious she is.

Louise needs to learn that in a closed mouth, flies don't get it!

I'm with Aaron on this one. Jay and Louise have shown their true colours and I thought this might happen once Faye left - they are going to try and exclude Aaron as much as they can to make him look bad imo. They are a nasty couple and I'm sure Alex will be able to afford her own designer shoes once she is out as imo there is no way she is going to share her £30k just as Jay and Louise won't share theirs.
