Yes.

Music, Apps, Video etc?
The only reason they seem outdated is because Apple have stopped paying attention to them.

You could argue that the iPhone does everything an iPod can do - but they're too expensive, and constantly listening to music and playing Apps on a phone drains battery life in an hour.

They've just went and made the iPad the new iPod, which is a joke because the whole point of iPods was because they were portable and stuff, and those silly iPads aren't even pocket sized FFS.

When i listen to my music on my iPhone it runs down my battery, I may charge up my iPod instead. Handy on long trips!
