The best team went through, we had a good 5 minutes, and that was it, the rest was a disgrace Italy completely deserved it, hope they win the competition now.

Well that's that then, shouldn't have reverted back to our blind optimism again just because we won a group where we actually could have lost every game. We were sh*te tbh, Rooney was crap, defence was dodgy, midfield just got too exhaused (though that's understandable), we were lucky to get to pens

Knew Diaminti would score that last one, he was pretty much a penalty specialist when he played for us

Seriously though if we had Becks in that team even for one half instead of Milner we would have created so much more, Milner and Young don't create enough chances.. it's almost a given a 37 year old Beckham would have created more then them two put together and keep the ball better
