Having watched the recent protest in Bahrain, with many many women protesters (totally different situ and scenario) - it's with real regret that the women protesters are fast taking the same ground as their menfolk. wish I could recall the name of one of the female leaders: when she was interviewed: she was as much of a loose cannon as the very men we are speaking of now - and so too were her female protesters. shame, I thought they'd have had more sense.

They need to learn how to curb their temper and deal with their short fuses; not be pandered to.

It's like giving a spoilt child everything they want: they more the throw a tantrum: the more they know they'll get their own way.

They need to be dealt with - not have their every whim catered to- which is what they want.

These radical Islams are annoying, why can't people express how they want against a MAN? Whether you believe in Jesus or not, Christians don't consider him just a man, but even Islams know Mohamed is just a man. Yet he's special for some reason? o_O

Maybe there should be conditions to that money.
Well they do have to sacrifice quite a bit for the West's support and have arguably suffered a lot from it, they've had a lot of civilians killed from US drone attacks and other NATO operations in their country which will probably have fuelled the anger over this and made it easier for extremists to manipulate people and stir up tensions

You hit the nail on the head with your last comment, religion is important to the individual on a personal spiritual level, a moral compass , a blueprint to lead a honest, fulfilling life in the earnest hope an afterlife awaits.

It should never be misconstrued into such an evil, hate filled , death worshipping ideology. To witness these scenes of frenzied flag burning hatred pouring out on cue every time their God/Prophet is "Insulted" is sad in the extreme.

I think it's maybe time the more moderate Muslim leaders realised that they need to start educating the next generation of Muslims that you need to practise what you preach, and that this form of Islamic extremist fanaticism has no place in today's world.

I do see the sentiment that you offer there but we do have to remember that it wasn't so long ago that Christians were also patrolling the world on crusades doing the same sort of things. In many ways the states is still doing the same thing even today.

Seems to me that today's world, is actually many different worlds that are not all evolving at the same pace or frankly in the same time period.

I don't know what the answer is, but if the problems are going to be solved they must first be fully understood in my view.

Yes you are right, Christianity had the same problems of extremism but most of this was in the Middle ages, where there was no TV for everyone to see.

I just hope the pace of change in Muslim teachings can increase as there is no where to "hide" the more radical behaviours of a small minority. And the fear is that these scenes could cause a backlash by other religions extremist factions.

I just saw a news report on this and I do think that's its been ridiculously blown out of proportion. It does irk me slightly that there's been such a huge backlash about it, I mean its just film right? If a film were made that attacked another religion in this style then I'm pretty sure that a reaction of this magnitude would never be seen.

I do think though, that it's the corrupt governments of the countries experiencing this unrest trying to deflect attention from internal problems and distract the population. It's easier for them to do that than fix what's going on. That's my view anyway
