Sure some Jews will try and convert people, the ultra-Orthodox ones like I mentioned are very strong in trying to force their beliefs onto others, obviously in this country there's a small Jewish population and a much larger Christian one so you're more likely to have a Christian accost you, it might be a different story if you lived in Israel

Jews welcome converts, but do not recruit converts.

Of course, I can't speak for the nuttier sects.
