Yes, it's a shame Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland didn't make it.

Although, look at it this way. What's the population of England compared to ROI, Northern Ireland, Waled and Scotland? Does anyone know the ratios?

I know that the whole of the UK's population outnumbers that of the ROI by almost 15:1. So, therefore, for every 15 football teams you produce, Ireland produces 1. Therefore, for every team you produce, we produce one player.

Hence, your chances of qualifying are far greater than Irelands.

But, being as clever as you are, I'm sure you already knew that and took it into consideration when you made the above-quoted statement.
