Out of the 50 of them which one do you like the best? (Not necessarily one you've travelled to).

Colorado, admittedly mainly because I've been there a couple of times and support all their sport teams, but I like it's Western culture and also all the snow and ski resorts that are dotted around. Of the ones I've not visited I find the Southern states the most interesting; Mississippi, Alabama etc.

It's a bitch to draw.
Thanks for posting it though, brought back a ton of memories. Odd how one simple image can do it.

My favorite state is my home state Virginia
Here's some fun facts about Virginia: Virginia was named for England's "Virgin Queen," Elizabeth I. The major cash crop of Virginia is tobacco and many of the people who live there earn their living from the tobacco industry. Jamestown, the first of the original 13 Colonies was founded for the purpose of silk cultivation. Silk to be traded with the Court of King James. After blight fungus destroyed the mulberry trees (silkworm food), sericulturist planted tobacco as a cash crop. Jamestown was the first English settlement in the U.S. It was also the first capital of Virginia. Virginia is known as "the birthplace of a nation". Arlington County was originally part of the ten-mile square parcel of land surveyed in 1791 to be part of Washington, DC. The U.S. Congress returned that portion of the land to the "Commonwealth of Virginia" following a referendum among its citizens. Eight United States Presidents were born in Virginia: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, William Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Woodrow Wilson. Six Presidents' wives were born in Virginia: Martha Washington, Martha Jefferson, Rachel Jackson, Letitia Tyler, Ellen Arthur, Edith Wilson. Seven Presidents are buried in Virginia: Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Tyler, Taft and Kennedy. The present state capital in Richmond was also the capital of the Confederacy. The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg is the second oldest in the United States, it was founded in 1693. The State nickname is "Old Dominion". The State flower is not really a flower, but the blossom of the dogwood tree, which is also the state tree. The first peanuts grown in the United States were grown in Virginia. ![]()

Quote:
The phrase was recommended by George Mason to the Virginia Convention in 1776, as part of the commonwealth's seal. The Seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia shows Virtue, spear in hand, with her foot on the prostrate form of Tyranny, whose crown lies nearby. The Seal was planned by Mason and designed by George Wythe, who signed the United States Declaration of Independence and taught law to Thomas Jefferson.[5] A common joke in Virginia, referencing the image on the seal and dating at least as far back as the Civil War, is that "Sic semper tyrannis" actually means "Get your foot off my neck." -wikipedia

Oregon and Washington. I've never been there, but I love the landscape and weather and the liberal attitude a lot of people seem to have. Plus I hear Portland and Seattle are two of the most vegan-friendly cities in the country. Of the state's I've been to I like Massachusetts the most. Boston's a really fun city and all of my family lives there.
