I guess it's to do with the time it'd take.

i am in good health my thinking is if there packing then there won't be telling me there life story i don't mind the sexy one telling me there was one but she went to uni

Anywho, they're incredibly fast. It's scan and slide to you and so on. They do a big full trolleys in about a minute. Truly remarkable to see.

Thats because if they don't hit their targets of items scanned per minute they lose pay or their job.
