Doesn't Emma (the great Emma) normally present BOTS on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights anyway?

I made the thread saying I hope he isn't on BOTS tonight (yesterday, Monday) as it'd be Rylan and AJ interviewing him...

IF I WAS EMMA I WOULD REFUSE TO DO THIS...Depending on the questions they tell her to ask she could possibly be in a career-limiting circumstance. Then he will have ruined something else...He deserves no plaudits, no questions and no chance to comment. He can't string an intelligent sentence together at the best of times so what are the Production Team hoping to get out of this? Will he have a new career on T.V being the celebrity voice of abusive men? There might be legal implications here too with the fact that BB did not stop him earlier and why they let him back in to spend the night there and eject him in the morning. He should not be brought back - he was ejected and is disgraced forever. This is giving out the wrong message to thugs and oiks...

It may be a case of either let him have his say on BOTS, or get hit with a lawsuit from Daley's solicitors.

Emma may be a bit lightweight for this type of interview. I would rather have had a senior member of the production staff do it. Especially if, as I suspect, it will end up as a discussion of BB's actions.

But Emma would probably be offended if there was a suggestion she would not be able to handle the interview.

We shall see!

The interview should be done by a heavyweight interviewer who's own career would not be damaged by such a fiasco. If only Ch5 could afford Jeremy Taxman!!!! Not that The Thug would even be able to understand a well annunciated question...

My prediction: Daley will be ever so gentle (well by his standards anyway!) and maybe even a bit weepy.

A proportion of viewers may end up thinking he's a big misunderstood sweetie and BB have been horrible to him!

Fistly, I'd be interested to hear what grounds you think Daley's solicitor may have for a complaint. And secondly, why on earth wouldn't they get Emma, a professional presenter with a lot of experience, to do the interview? Production staff aren't experienced at being in front of the camera no matter how senior they may be, so I'd also be interested to see your workings for that one.

If Daley feels he's been defamed by BB and his reputation ruined without a chance for him to publicly put his side of the story there could be the threat of libel action. Even if it wasn't carried through, it would be nasty to deal with and the publicity fall out could be bad. Especially if the race card gets played either subtly or not so subtly.

Emma is a frontwoman for a very lightweight show. But it could end up with her being interviewed, so to speak, and having to defend BB's actions. Better to have someone with authority even if they have less frontline experience. But, as I said, we shall see!
