Sam believes Dexter deliberately misinterpreted him.

In re-telling the incident Dexter made Sam sound aggressive.

Not repeating Sam's exact words isn't a crime, but if Dexter's exaggerated the tone to make Sam sound aggressive then that's out of order.

The only way we'll know for sure is if BB do a flash back.

It was a very rude thing to say from Sam. It basically means "piss off".
