He should be held a hero I think for exposing this. He doesn't deserve 35 years in my opinion although he knew what the consequences would be so I suppose he was willing to pay the price for this.

But look it's stuff like this that make me think, when US has something as terrible as the Boston bombings happen, they expect the whole world to sympathise and stop. But yet they are doing similar to other countries that can't defend themselves and they lie about their supposed weapons of mass destruction to excuse invasion.
