That's just a semi-educated guess though. Seems very Yorkshire, so maybe someone will tell you it actually means something completely different.

I thought that bit was referencing some canal barge thing, that I thought might be northern pastime??

I think I took moor too literally, and ba'hat (or whatever it was) as boat in the accent.
