My parents were buying my brother the GTA games when he was 14 it's just a game. Some people who have problems with telling the difference between a game and real life ought to be better supervised by their parents but that's up to the parent to make that judgment call, in my opinion. If your child's mature enough then there's no issue - ratings for games are a bit ridiculous anyway, they're not the same as films.
