I'm not even going to go into some of the **** that I used to do, but it wasn't anything like having a fear of odd things (like the images in the OP) and I wasn't afraid of germs (although I did used to wash my hands to the point they were cracked and bleeding). I didn't tell my parents as they wouldn't understand and I was too embarrassed to tell any of my siblings. I went to my GP for about a month but I was too embarrassed with that too so stopped going altogether
This began when I was like 13 and got worse and worse, until I was around 15 and decided to put an end to it once and for all, and eventually out of sheer motivation with no help from anyone I became completely OCD-free

..I watched a programme a few years ago where a lady had OCD, it totally disabled her life and was so sad..one of the things was when she was posting a card to someone, she would keep checking that she had put the card in the envelope before she sealed it and she did this for literally days, because she was convinced that the card wouldn't be in there ..then when she did finally seal it, she would have to keep unsealing it again and again and again etc...she then couldn't bear to put a stamp on or take it to the post box and let go of it so she actually never did get round to sending any...there was other stuff as well and she would also scrub her hands until they bled...
..we also had a child at school who was diagnosed OCD and there was so much he was unable to cope with or take part in...I'm so glad you've been able to overcome yours and really admire that you were determined to do it, well done Salman....
