These pics really fry my brain because I'm ocd about symmetry and it's far from easy breaking away from it especially when I'm working on designs, or decorating my house etc
Do they irritate anyone else? |

Me, I can't be doing with stuff like this, I like proper patterns and even numbers of things.

The only thing that would bother me is the mosaic tiles, the rest no.

Oh it does my head in, at xmas I was in my sister in laws house and she had lights round the tv that were longer at one end and I had to end up moving from where I was sitting so I couldn't see them |

Sometimes I notice things and other times I just ignore.
I always like the table to be set correctly, if that counts. Bothers me when people have their glasses on one side and then the others feel the need to move it to the other side from where it originally was

I'm a bit OCD, mine is more germ-related though (although that bb gun bullet photo made my blood boil lol) I cannot press bus bells and crossing buttons with my bare skin, even at work there are loads of codes to get into certain rooms and I put my finger in my tshirt to press them, no one has noticed yet .. they probably have

I used to have really bad OCD. like not you're usual Haha I Hate Germs And Everything Must Be Organised. Guess I Must Have OCD xD but the full blown condition, and it did consume my life and was actually depressing
I'm not even going to go into some of the **** that I used to do, but it wasn't anything like having a fear of odd things (like the images in the OP) and I wasn't afraid of germs (although I did used to wash my hands to the point they were cracked and bleeding). I didn't tell my parents as they wouldn't understand and I was too embarrassed to tell any of my siblings. I went to my GP for about a month but I was too embarrassed with that too so stopped going altogether This began when I was like 13 and got worse and worse, until I was around 15 and decided to put an end to it once and for all, and eventually out of sheer motivation with no help from anyone I became completely OCD-free |

..I watched a programme a few years ago where a lady had OCD, it totally disabled her life and was so sad..one of the things was when she was posting a card to someone, she would keep checking that she had put the card in the envelope before she sealed it and she did this for literally days, because she was convinced that the card wouldn't be in there ..then when she did finally seal it, she would have to keep unsealing it again and again and again etc...she then couldn't bear to put a stamp on or take it to the post box and let go of it so she actually never did get round to sending any...there was other stuff as well and she would also scrub her hands until they bled... ..we also had a child at school who was diagnosed OCD and there was so much he was unable to cope with or take part in...I'm so glad you've been able to overcome yours and really admire that you were determined to do it, well done Salman.... |
