Not many people who have a serious habit ever really get over it. Some people manage to stay clean for years and then they'll just have a bad day or be in the wrong place at the wrong time and before they know it they're drowning in their habit again. There really needs to be more government funding to help people in these situations rather than just spending the money on criminalizing the end user, the person who has an addiction problem, an illness. |

If it is confirmed as a Heroin overdose then in the absence of a suicide note will the coroner change the verdict of her death from natural causes to misadventure or accidental death.
We will never know for sure if this was a normal drug taking that went wrong due to a contaminated or very pure batch. Or was it a deliberate overdose ie suicide, I guess it may even have been just a miscalculation as to the amount to take especially if she had not taken it for a long time.

They probably will just put it down as misadventure or accidental if there's no actual proof of intentional suicide.
I did read somewhere that there's speculation that someone had been into her house and disposed of any drugs/drug paraphernalia before the police got there. Kinda' makes sense if it was a drug induced death because even if she used all of the heroin she had there still would have been a syringe and her bits and bobs to be found. From the Court today
Heroin is confirmed as part of her death. Other mates were in the flat the day before so they may have taken the Junkie gear away with them. Last edited by arista; 01-05-2014 at 01:11 PM. |

Why was she doing it while she was in sole charge of her kids? I'd be interested to know what "Mother & Baby" magazine thought qualified her to write a column in their publication.

My point is that people like her are held us as examples. I mean, look at the celebrities who get awarded "Mother of the Year" because they've managed to squeeze out a kid. Meanwhile ordinary women with extraordinarily complicated lives, low incomes, proper jobs and all kinds of pressures juggle their lives around a family and get no recognition at all. Peaches Geldof gets a magazine column so she can impart her thoughts and wisdom to mere mortals and turns out she's caring for her kids while she's smacked out of her face.

Oh so she was only a junkie at night while the kids were in bed? That's okay then.

She is not typical of any young mother that I know. In fact if she lived in a Council flat and was jobless she would be called all sorts for doing drugs in the same place that she is bringing up her kids. But because she is Peaches Geldof its all "very sad".

Personally I don't think she intended to die, and tweeting the picture of her Mum the day before was just a macarbe coincidence.

I think the intention was to kill herself in the way her mother died, my thinking is it was depression.

indeed. Paula Yates overdosed presumably because she couldn't live without Michael Hutchence, I would have thought Peaches couldn't bear to put her children and family through what they all went through after Paula, obviously she loved heroin more.

No it was a error her mates brought and took the Junkie gear the day before. On the day of her death no junkie gear was found unless her husband took it away fast She loved her kids and husband no way was she meant to die - in her mind Last edited by arista; 01-05-2014 at 02:26 PM. |
