Also the divide isn't much of a divide? The dynamics aren't clear-cut at all, there's just a group of vile cool kids and a bunch of others who don't like them but aren't unified.

You could say Jale to an extent but I guess she isn't your standard as she's made a few silly mistakes too. I can already see her being underdog though
I also agree with the next point, they don't seem to like each other they just have a mutual hatred of the cool kids
