If a child is in your care, and something unexpectedly messed up happens infront of them. Then it should be explained exactly why it is wrong to the child. My bet is the parents laughed at it, which in his head gave the child the ok.

Yes I have no problem with so called violent games for kids. I grew up with guns, grenades, knives, war games etc and so far I have committed no murders ad neither of my pals. I decide what my brats play and watch and not some group of censors who are guided by blame and legal issues/lawyers

...hmmm, I just don't see it as emulating something that is 'typical' to a sport though or justifying it because of what Soarez does..a wrestler wrestles...a footballer doesn't typically bite because on any level, biting is not 'normal' or acceptable behaviour beyond a child teething and whether there was a fault with the parents or not I can't see anything but an exclusion being the result of what he did...if he's facing a possible permanent one then this can't be the only incident and there must be other behaviour problems which have probably been on going, hence the final warning...

..the fault that I do see with the parents is that they seem to be looking more at 'blame' than addressing the behaviour issues of their child....

It isn't typical to footballers but Suarez is this kids hero. He always pretends to be him. It's been all over the news, papers, internet etc what Suarez has done so it would be easy for the child to emulate. As you said in an earlier post, it's in the Sun and so not the most reliable if media outlets anyway and so it doesn't explain what kind if expulsion he has been threatened with. I find it hard to lay blame on the parents for his actions really. They are guilty of putting it in the public domain but how many kids are told things are wrong by their parents but do it anyway. I was told time and time again not to throw stones in the garden, punished, threatened etc but I still did it. My parents were bloody fantastic but it was they couldn't watch me all the time. Kids are wilful and disobedient at times....they learn by mistakes and teachings from grown ups...I'm sure after this the child will hopefully have learned a very tough lesson.

..the thing is Annie, I’m only talking about biting specifically and not any other type of behaviour or messing around or fighting or anything.. and it’s something that a child shouldn’t be doing beyond being a toddler when it can in some children be a ‘phase’ but something that they don’t carry on doing and 7yrs old is a big concern for a chid to be biting which is not in any way ‘typical’ for someone his age..it’s something we take very seriously in schools and because we’re advised to and I’ve only ever known one child who ‘bit’...I’m also guessing and it’s just because the article said that he had his last warning...(and I know the Sun isn’t credible so how much of this is accurate I don’t know..) that this isn’t the first time he’s either hurt or indeed before bit other children and maybe has some serious behaviour issues...I don’t necessarily assume his parents are responsible for those at all because I know how hard parents try but some issues are beyond their control but I do think that by laying blame on a football player or assuming that there is any bearing with that is not where their focus should be but on their child who is doing this and may be about to be excluded from primary school...for their son they really should be working with the school and not themselves laying blame or not understanding why the school is concerned....
