Tbf I think it's intended to have both effects described here with different viewers and cause controversy, and it's certainly working. I suppose that's why you're having this debate right now.

Either way it creates controversy and a buzz around the show, and probably more votes for and against her.

Yeah, thinking about it, they probably don't even care which one or if either of them win or not, I don't think that's the important part for them

I agree. Every year I see threads about BB's favourite and manipulation around who they want to win, but I've never understood why it would make a difference to them who won. Meh, maybe I'm just naive

No I don't think you are. I definitely think they manipulate situations to cause drama and possibly to keep HMs that cause drama in but I don't think the winner matters a **** to them tbh, I mean Sam won, Luke A won, what have they done since besides the very odd appearance on BOTs. They don't need the "better characters" to win to give them more airtime on channel 5 and BOTs afterwards
