Speaking of nuances, don't you think there are more to nominations than people genuinely picking the two they dislike most? Especially face to face nominations. Examples:
- housemates could be too scared to nominate James if they find him intimidating... Or want to avoid a boring lecture

- James is tied to more people in the house whereas Gary has no strong friendships, so it is easier to nominate without backlash
- Gary is a popular housemate, therefore a rival
- Nominating a more obvious target who lots of people will nominate means they're less likely to be in the firing line from that person next week.
I'm not saying any of these are reasons that I believe affected nominations, and just picked Gary and James as easy examples. I'm just highlighting that nominations aren't as simple as picking who they like least.
