As with UKIP in the UK, she and her party will gain in popularity in France. Also as with UKIP here, it will be 'baby steps' at first; small gains, but gains nonetheless, and every journey starts with just one step.

I abhor her politics but what must be understood here; is that the indigenous population of France - as with the UK - are sick of unfettered immigration, and when someone who is sick is being ignored by his doctor, then he will eventually turn to any 'quack' - no matter how unsavoury or 'iffy' - just as long as that quack is promising a cure for that sickness.

A depressed Economy, an impoverished standard of living, escalating unemployment, increasing crime rates, and an uncertain future, are the ideal 'seed bed' for racism to grow and flourish, and prolonged suffering under such conditions by the discontented indigenous masses, will eventually render them more receptive to the rhetoric and propaganda of any Fascist who is clever enough to exploit the 'status quo', by blaming immigrants as the cause of all these ills, and promising economic utopia by eradicating that cause - just as with Hitler in 1920's Germany.

Just as with the UK, if the 'moderate' political parties in France do not address the aforementioned issues - even if that means forgoing 'Political Correctness' and implementing draconian immigration policies - then they will consequently be eclipsed and marginalised by their fascist counterparts.

Sometimes the harshest of pruning is the only way to save a diseased tree.
