Trouble is half of those with mod status don;t do anything. This isn't being rude, but some are barely active so are clearly not modding. I think it should be a bit stricter in terms of that, you can come back anytime but it should be compulsory to step down if you know you are no longer going to be meeting the criteria of the role and give somebody who will the chance to.
