I've never understood the hate for Brian, I found him quite funny and enjoyable in BB8. Sure, there were better housemates more deserving like Charley or Chanelle, but most winners are crap and he's probably better than a lot of the duller ones.

Also don't get the criticism about him (or any other housemates for that matter) being 'fake'. Who cares? All that matters is whether they bring anything to the show or not

People who don't appreciate someone trying to fool the public into liking them, and people who prefer BB housemates to be real and not ridiculous caricatures.

Easily one of the worst winners (but not quite the worst, that honor goes to Helen).

Well the first point would be a game plan, and it is a game show so fair's fair, don't see the point in knocking them for that

And the second is a bit of a moot point really. Sure, housemates being 'real' might be more welcome but if the 'real' housemates are gonna sit around and be ****ing boring all summer long and contribute nothing to the show, but someone else is going to fake or enhance their personality in a way that creates drama, storylines and things to discuss then the latter is most definitely more beneficial to the series

Sam, Sophie, Luke and Rachel are all way below him on the winners list. He's probably MOTR like Pete and Anthony, and then Helen and Aaron are above them as the best

There's a difference between playing the other housemates and playing the public (some of whom part with their money to vote).

Not "moot" at all. Some of us value real interactions over fake, OTT performances on BB, and it's bizarre to suggest real housemates automatically contribute nothing. You honestly believe the only ones who provide entertainment are the fake ones?

And there we have it, it's all subjective. Rachel's my favourite winner, and Helen is undoubtedly my least favourite by a country mile.

To be honest if a housemate is clever enough to fool the public (who quite frankly should be able to see through it) then they're playing an even better game than they would be if they were just fooling their other housemates. If the public are stupid and deluded enough to part with their money to vote for someone who they can't see is fooling them, then that's their problem. More props to the 'fake' housemate

I never once said they automatically contribute nothing, and I also never said the only ones who provided entertainment are the fake ones.

I also enjoy the real interactions between housemates and it's part of the reason why I miss live feed so much, listening to the random conversations about life they used to have. The point I was making was that given a choice between a 'real' housemate who sits in the background the entire series and doesn't offer anything up to the series (Pav, Maysoon, Sam Evans, multiple others) or a supposedly 'fake' housemate who is pretty much the star of the show and is offering a lot, the latter is most definitely a better housemate in terms of what's best for the show. It is not an either or, just that 'fake' housemates can sometimes be good.

To be fair to them, I always thought UBB was missing him and Pete and even Anthony. All the winners should have been there along with the likes of Nick, Victor and Nikki.

I'm glad it's someone different from the UBB cast.

Yeah UBB should have had all the winners just out of courtesy more than anything else and also because viewers paid money to crown each one the winner so they should automatically have been in contention for the UBB crown
