..this is not the same at all though...to be yourself and who you are is not provocative in any way..if a guy wants to wear make up then it's something that he does for himself to feel good, if gay partners want to hold hands or kiss in public, then it's an act of affection and something that wouldn't be questioned with heterosexuals....it doesn't 'invite' homophobic remarks, the fault is on the people who make those remarks and lies with them alone otherwise it's all victim blaming....
