The food on Olio is mainly fresh or close to sell by date I think Arista meant food for food banks has to have a long sell by date as it has to be stored Ammi, Olio is more of an individual thing for instance someone with an allotment who might not be able to make use of all the veg ie lettuce or if you are about to go on holiday and have things in the fridge which would go over the sell by date by the time you get back which you could give to someone in your area, it's about food wastage and not sending food to landfill rather than feeding the 5000
