I don't see a comparison there whatsoever. BB9 is one of the better ones for me, BB15 is an abomination.

Also, I don't see how a series won by Rachel Rice and a series won by Helen Wood are similar or in anyway comparable unless it's for juxtaposition purposes.

If anything, BB9 makes me think of BB13 because of the whole house divide storyline that dominated both.

Does anyone else think BB16 is somewhat similar to BB8 in a sort of way? And I mean BB8 as the whole series, not just excusing it because it has Charley in it.

Like both had:

Abysmal production
Constant twists to increase ratings which hindered more than helped. BB8 had Halfway House, All Female Launch, and Ł100k Giveaway and BB16 had #4IN4OUT
Decent female casts, AWFUL male casts
Decline in ratings
Manipulation/Meddling.

BB16 was more trash though. Just an unlikeable series filled with unlikeable people

BB15, BB5, BB6 and BB7 all had divided too...BB9 was nothing like BB13, 13 had actual entertainment.

Welp I thought the BB16 cast was great apart from Danny, Marc, Cristian and Jack.

I mean ofc like we're comparing an awful C5 series to an okay C4 series. C5 is trash, but in terms of production and things like that. The similarities between then two are apparent.

In terms of casts alone and not seasons for C5 I would say 13 > 14 > 16 > 15 > 12

I think it had a great female cast, but the males sucked.

They were either: dull (Cristian/Kieran), nasty (Marc), or annoying (Danny/Aaron).

tbh.

There's actually a correlation between good casts and good series, judging from that. C5 need to bring back open auditions, TBH.

The BB16 female cast was good (apart from Sarah) but the males all sucked. I guess it is similar to BB8 in that regard

Well I liked Danny and Aaron in 16 whereas in 15 I liked no males, without exception.

BB16 had the strongest female cast out of all C5 series imo

It's a shame they were wasted on an awful series

I'd agree to that in a sense that they were all entertaining and/or likeable to some extent. But I don't think they're potential was shown as they were evicted one by one.

Lydia and Deana alone > BB16 females

Also, even 14 and 15 had better females imo.

The only male I liked in BB15 was Christopher. I liked no males in BB16. Even then, I'd take Marlon, Chris, and Ash over the BB16 male cast.

I mean

13 has Deana, Victoria, Lydia, Lauren and Caroline

14 has Gina, Jemima, Hazel, Sallie, Jackie and Charlie

15 had Danielle, Toya and Ashleigh

13 and 14 had great females, 14 especially

Christopher was one of my very least favourites in BB15, at the time I disliked him more than Helen.

I still don't understand that. He was the nicest one in there.

BB14's females actually got to stay in the house though, giving them more time to become interesting.

BB16's girls never got a chance to show what they could provide since 4 of them had left by week 2.

He should've won, TBH.

It would've been a **** you to the producers who were gunning for a Helen vs. Ashleigh Top 2, and they got it.
