It was a great episode but it did bug me in places.

Dark Hook makes for a great villain but, like Zelena, his motivations are weak as hell, instead of just retconning his character development completely and making him Nimue's bitch, they should have made him resent Emma because she turned him into something he hates. Hook being out for revenge against Rumple just feels like a boring retread of past stories.

They've done a great job of giving Dark Emma more depth but I'm sad that they just made Dark Hook as two dimensional as possible.

Still though, I really enjoyed it and I'm glad the story is finally getting interesting.

Yeah, and Hook's fall into darkness was just too quick and convenient. Actually, I don't love this Dark Hook thing in the first place. I'm enjoying the approaching endgame of this arc as a whole and the return of all of the Dark Ones etc, but the Dark One Hook angle just hasn't really clicked for me.
