I just finished watching We Are What We Are and it was kinda boring ngl but the final ending scene was sooooo satisfying...

Spoiler:

...when the girls ate their dad.

I also watched The Gift yesterday which I don't think is technically a horror film but it was really low key creepy and super twisted. I like films like that where the "bad guy" is human and it feels like it could actually happen none of the supernatural stuff scares me at all.

This one is a thriller with horror elements, a serial killer starts broadcasting live streams of victims...the more people who visit the site the quicker the victim dies! animal lovers beware you'll hate the killer after the first few scenes

Just watched the trailer for Untraceable and it looks really good. I've never heard of it before but it looks like one of those suspenseful thrillers which I love. I'll check it out sometime. Thanks for these suggestions.

The best this year so far is The Witch. Loved it a lot, talked to the audience afterwards and they were shocked.

I love it, I think it's very underrated and has a really great cast.

If you like it it'd recommend Copycat, too. It's a psychological thriller with strong horror elements and stars Sigourney Weaver.

The Boy was really good but the twist at the end didn't feel necessary it just felt like they were trying to throw something out there for the sake of there being a twist

Has anyone ever seen The Relic? It's a 90's monster horror. I saw it when I was really young and remember enjoying it but it was pretty under the radar I think, not many people have heard of it. I'm tempted to watch it again to see if I'd still enjoy it now I'm older and if it's aged well or not.

Really? I found The Boy to be boring and not that great. I went with 4 other people and they all the said the same. I mean it had potential to be good, but it just failed on so many levels.

Watched All The Boys Love Mandy Lane last night for the first time and I really enjoyed it. It's one I've been waiting to see for quite a bit now but I finally got around to it. I wasn't expecting that twist at the end but it was good. I also loved the feel and atmosphere of the film. It reminded me a lot of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

It also has Amber Heard as Mandy Lane - one of my favorite actresses.

I thought the twist was the best thing about the boy, it was pretty dull up until then

I've really been wanting to watch this, it sounds brilliant and from what I've seen it's been really well received.

I was pretty disappointed by this, I think the hype ruined it for me

I mean, it's a good film but idk there was just something missing, I was expecting a bit more from the ending and was left feeling like "Is that it?". I'll probably watch it again some time to see if my opinion changes but overall i'd give it a pretty solid 7/10 opposed to the 9 or 10 I was expecting.

I agree with you on the Witch, way too much hype imo

It's very well acted but that's about the nicest thing I can say about it.

I watched The Boy over the weekend.

I went from laughing my ass off at the absurdity of it to being creeped out.

Tbh, I felt it made the film.

It didn't quite work as a supernatural movie for me, so the twist actually brought everything together that happened up to that point.

I laughed my arse off at the dolly he dressed in her clothes.
