I remember a discussion on DS about that. Apparently, within the show it's supposed to still be running but we never see it because they used the studio space for new sets like Martin and Stacey's flat.

But, then again, Roxy finally showed some acknowledgement of Peggy's death. So kudos for shock factor.

Hated funny haired Paul for so long and when I'm finally loving the whole family unit and direction they decide on a random exit.

What is the point? They've only just bothered to give him an actual story and character development.

Ummm, ok then.

That makes loads of sense, you know like when she went into business with Lucy Beale and Lucy got Jake Stone to design her a website instead of the "creative" Lauren?

That's what tends to happen. They only make an effort with characters when they're about to kill them off, just for the sake of effect.

Oh that's not a secret, everyone knows she helped him die. He was terminally ill IIRC.

But this secret with his mum where Paul thinks his mum didn't want him but something else happened and Pam thinks he'd never forgive her. I wonder what happened.
