Yes age is irrelevant, but experience is not. Perhaps you think that the civil rights pioneers of the gay movement would be appalled by what Biggins said, they wouldn't, they were fighting so many worse, frightening, dangerous situations every day of their lives. I think it is ignorant to reject his efforts in the fight for gay rights.
