It was garbage because not one of the thousand plotlines was given any actual focus or development. Even more so than Freak Show.

In an anthology series surely that's a good thing? We don't want the same thing every year. That's what lets AHS down, repetitive and predictable.

It was just FAR too camp and glamorous to be treated seriously as a horror lol. The idea behind it was good, but like you said, everything just flopped and was executed poorly.

I don't think being camp and glam can prevent it from being horror. There's plenty of examples of that kind of material in the genre. It's just Hotel failed on all counts.

And, surprisingly, I don't think any of it was Gaga's fault.
