Can't agree with your keeper though. Van der Saar was good, but Schmeichel is in the top 5 keepers that's ever lived.

Schmeichel was my second choice. Went for van der Saar purely because I grew up watching him.

If your talking consistency over time, then players like Giggs an Shearer would have to be in there. But I chose my team by who I think was the greatest player at their best. Which would probably put someone like Bale ahead of Giggs. Although Bale didn't even make my team, but he was close.
