One of the most moving photos I've seen of the twin towers memorial site was a picture of a single rose, the short stem had been pushed into the carved letter of a name of a loved one lost. It was a sad, beautiful, poignant image that made me cry. I didn't feel that the photo was wrong or harmed anyone.
I am of two minds as it seems a bit raw to have bus loads of tourists at these sites and yet a moving image tells the future about what happened.
