Wasn't it not long after Kerry passed and other mods became inactive and there were threads about who people thought should be mod and he was quite popular?

My memory's quite vague about it.

Not really forum elected, but strongly supported mod decision.

No I don't think so, there's always threads that pop up about who would and who wouldn't be a good mod. When Andy was made a mod people were asked to apply if they they were interested and we decided from there. Don't think it was soon after Kerry passed either.
