So have Slovakia tbf.

I controversially don't believe that England are the worst performing team at the last 16 (that would be Italy by some distance imo) yeah we've been bad, but I do believe that of the huge teams that are still left in the competition that France are playing worse than England.

And I do also think that England are also better than Slovenia and Turkey, and possibly Belgium (as they did lose to Slovakia this tournament.)

I don't know if England are actually quite as bad as we're all thinking, yes we've been underwhelming and we're clearly not the best team in the competition, but I could see England actually having a competitive match with every team bar Spain and Germany.

Interesting to see that two managers in particular are being criticised for poor squad selections / team selections / tactics and quality of football .. Southgate and Deschamps … and they are the two longest serving managers at the Euros !!
