running away doesn't leave any evidence. Being hit over the head or dragged from the scene does .... unless the police are covering it up. Falling in the river leaves evidence too, not just a body either

There's more evidence that she spontaneously combusted than there is of her falling into the river or walking/being kidnapped via the footpaths.

Is there a caravan park near by? If so wouldn't her dog have went there after her?

I might be remembering wrongly but wasn't the caravan park on the other side of the river and farther along?

The fact is, unless she went into the water or away in a vehicle, her dog would have followed her

Everything about this case is just so weird , obviously it must be upsetting for her family & friends aswell.... It's the not knowing what happened which must be driving them mad aswell.

She distracted it with meat before she jumped onto the boat. That's literally the only way the dog wouldn't follow her anywhere.

I keep wondering why nobody heard the dog bark , surely protective instincts would kick in to protecting her owner... including if she fell in the river ,chances are the dog would try and save her and be covered in water ??

Or to get really tinfoil hat ...
That's not the family dog. At some point during the last walk, she swapped it with a dog of the same breed. That way, it would have no attachment to her, so no reason to want to follow her.

I don't know, not sure I buy that story, why go to all that trouble to "disappear" If she wanted to leave her life, why not just leave the house and never come back? Seems a really dramatic way to run away with an affair partner or whatever you're suggesting. It seems very unlikely

Someone else could have held the dog while she popped off

no way a mum would leave her kids
problem is if she was taken surely the dog would have barked and or someone would have seen a bloke like people saw her? |

I know some dogs can be really docile & quiet ,but usually if there's a threat or if their owner is in danger .....they usually bark and get protective

Maybe the dog did bark? How busy was the area? People may not have heard the dog bark

Someone falling into a river that is a foot deep, leaves traces. The stones and sediment would be disturbed. Also, a body doesn't sink in 1 foot of water, so if she was only "alone" for 5 mins, her body would have been visible in the water (assuming she somehow got knocked out) I do believe that the police are now spinning a yarn

Also though, to those suggesting she hopped into a boat, surely a boat would have been spotted by people/somewhat traceable? Even easier than a car would?

Even this time of year though? I live near water myself and yeah if it was maybe from April onwards there'd be plenty of boats around, it would be unusual this time of year though

Also those spaniels are really good water dogs, even if she hopped into a boat there's a really strong chance the dog would have tried to follow after, for a while at least
